Day Two

Not the best day to do a walk-about. Snow and sleet dogged us all day and it was freezing cold. For those of you who do not know Denver is called ‘The Mile High’ city for a reason. It is a mile above sea level. We are really in the clouds. So it has been a very odd day. There are major works going on in the downtown district so the beautiful city we remembered is not looking so lovely at present. However, it will rise again. We visited the art gallery to get out of the weather for a while.My favourite piece of street art is still around. I would love to work on the 3rd floor of an office and have a blue bear peering in the window.

We move on tomorrow to Manitou Springs which is a lot lower and hopefully a lot warmer. The one good thing about today is we have done over 18,000 steps!
