The Road North

Today was a day of travelling, from Truth or Consequences to Albuquerque.
By the way I have found out since yesterday that they have filmed 28 films in Truth or Consequences including No Country for Old Men. I wonder if the locals get jobs as extras. I looked it up and it pays between $100 and $200 a day. Not to be sniffed at.
So today was mostly spent in the car. We steered clear of the freeway although we ran alongside it most of the way, with no one else on the road.
We are now back in Albuquerque for the night. At least we know our way around. Another leg tomorrow. The temperature is already dropping a little.
We were returning to the restaurant this evening after dinner when we got sight of the mountains with the sun going down, hence the picture which was only out of the car window as we were on the freeway. The sun reflecting looked like ice. It was really lovely. We missed a turn as we were not concentrating on the road!
