Day 4

A really dreary day when we set out from Manitou Springs. Our car was completely frozen over and it was below freezing! Not a good start. However, as we moved south the temperature doubled, the sun came out and we were treated to outstanding views of the bottom of the Rockies. Over 200 miles today to Taos, our first stop in New Mexico. At last, it is much warmer here, no need for coats. We have been to Taos before. It is a mecca for Indian jewellery and all sorts of crafts, and of course they ‘ship’. This is only a one stop so not much to say really. A tiring day but with some wonderful views.
